eduroam

eduroam  (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide wireless network access system developed for the international research and education community. IU students, faculty, and staff can connect to eduroam at member institutions using your full IU email address and passphrase.

You can read more in details on IU Knowledge Base. Everyone will be required to switch over to this network as of January 28, 2020.

IU Secure Wireless Connection

Note: UITS will retire IU Secure in the fall of 2020. Please use Eduroam instead.

IU Secure is the wireless network for students, faculty, and staff to access on all campuses. IU Secure utilizes WPA2 Enterprise Wi-Fi Protected Access) for authentication and encryption; no VPN is needed. Read more on IU Knowledge Base site.

To automatically configure your Windows computer to connect to IU Secure, use the appropriate configuration utility from IUware.

Registering Your Devices

You do not have to register your wireless devices with Eduoroam.
